TUTANKHAMUN – HIS TOMB AND ITS TREASURES

March will see the world premiere of a spectacular exhibition in Zurich: TUTANKHAMUN – HIS TOMB AND ITS TREASURES.

The centrepiece of the exhibition are the accurate, full-size reproductions of the child king TUTANKHAMUN's burial chambers exactly as they were discovered. Visitors to the tomb can assume the role of the archaeologist, seeing the burial chambers just as they were when Howard Carter uncovered them in 1922.

A second section of the exhibition contains an enlightening display of dozens of replica funerary objects painstakingly recreated by Egyptian craftsmen, as well as a reconstruction of the opened treasure chests, which remain closed in the tomb itself. Interactive displays containing scientific and historical background information and the film "Through the eyes of the archaeologist," shown in the complex's cinema, round off the exhibition perfectly.

TUTANKHAMUN – HIS TOMB AND ITS TREASURES is designed to appeal to a wide audience and is an attractive destination for visitors to Zurich from all over the world. Schoolchildren in particular will benefit from visiting this archaeological adventure – school groups are welcome from Monday to Thursday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Buy your tickets directly from the Toni Arena ticket office (no booking fee), Förrlibuckstrasse 109, 8005 Zurich. The ticket office is open Monday to Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. / Fridays until 9 p.m.


Directions to TUTANKHAMUN – HIS TOMB AND ITS TREASURES
The Toni-AREAL is located at Förrlibuckstrasse 109. CLICK HERE for a map of the location.

Take Tram 4 from the main station to Fischerweg. Cross Hardturmstrasse and walk along the viaduct to the Toni-AREAL (2-minute walk).

Or take the suburban railway (S3, S5, S7, S9, S12, S16) from Zurich main station to Zürich Hardbrücke. Then go by bus (33/54/72) to Escher-Wyss-Platz, and take Tram 4 from Escher-Wyss-Platz to Förrlibuckstrasse. From Förrlibuckstrasse, keep left and walk straight on for around 3 minutes.

Or take the bus (54) from Zürich Hardbrücke to Technopark, walk straight on from Technopark station and take the next right. You will reach Förrlibuckstrasse in around 5 mins.
